Gilgamesh

When I first started reding Gilgamesh I rewalized that the author repeats the same exact texts many times. I thought this was very curious and interesting. What i took out of my reading was:they tell us about Gilgamesh and who he is. He rules the city and is the stronges, most intelligent created great terror. But then there is also Uruk who lives in the wild and knows a lot about nature. Shamhat seduces him and then takes him to the city where he confronts with Gilgamesh. They fight but they end up as ¨brothers¨. Enkidu tells him something about the Cedar forest and that it is very dangerous, but he decides to go and face it. I think this shows sa lot of respect and courage from Gilgameshs part. So far im liking the book a lot.
